Criminal Trial of Co-Defendants Stern, Kapoor & Eroshevich: Day Eight

Today’s proceedings included testimony from psychiatrist Dr. Nathalie Maullin who believes that the medication given to Smith by Kapoor was “overkill” for her symptoms.  She described the drugs prescribed by Kapoor as “hardcore medications” used by cancer patients. Maullin was on staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where Smith was treated while pregnant and suffering from  drug withdrawals. Maullin’s testimony is part of the prosecutorial focus on Kapoor’s role in Smith’s alleged long-term abuse of prescription drugs.  Prosecutors presented Kapoor’s personal journals to the jury to underscore his personal relationship with the former model.  Today’s events wrap up the week.  Check back on Monday for more!
