Million dollar baby no more

As I previously noted, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals recently ruled that oil tycoon and businessman, J. Howard Marshall II, never intended to leave any of his inheritance to his wife of only 14 months, Vickie Lynn Marshall (aka Anna Nicole Smith).  Some argue this is a ruling against her daughter Dannielynn (and her father Larry Birkhead), when the reality is it is a blessing in disguise.

After over 15 years of litigation, this case has done little more than rack up hundreds and thousands of dollars in legal fees for Dannielynn. The Ninth Circuit’s ruling essentially upheld the original Texas probate decision from 2001. After a five and a half month jury trial, the Texas probate court ruled that J. Howard Marshall II provided for Anna Nicole during his life with gifts exceeding $6 million[1] and he never intended to make her his heir. While Howard K. Stern along with his team of lawyers and publicists continue to exploit Dannielynn in this case, these legal disputes are only adding to her troubles.  As the sole heir of her mother’s estate, further appeals merely make Dannielynn liable for a battle that should not even involve her.  Dannielynn inherited her only connection to the Marshall family – – a legal battle she never chose to fight.

This innocent child has been exploited by the adults in her life and is now being used as pawn in a game of greed.  Clearly, Smith’s lawyers are only looking to make a buck for themselves by using Dannielynn as a reason to continue the dispute over the Marshall estate.  In reality she has no real relationship to the Marshall family.  Isn’t it interesting that this lawsuit began long before Dannielynn’s birth but now seems to revolve around her?

If Birkhead and Stern care about Dannielynn’s future, they will drop the case and let her live a normal life. Shouldering her in debt before she even enters kindergarten is greed of the worst kind.

  1. Many have said this should have been dropped years ago. Howard K Stern saw an opportunity in the drug loving Anna Nicole and planned to use her so that his ship could come in. This has been his goal since the day he met “the love of his life”. Of course, that love has to extend to the only remaining child of Anna who at this time of her life is very easily manipulated. I hope all of this bull-low-knee is finished before Dannielynn becomes an adult.

  2. Well said Ms. Brenman. You certainly hit the nail on the head.

The lawyers aren’t the only ones looking to make a buck. Mr. Birkhead and Mr. Stern appear to want their cut of the action as well. If I recall Mr. Stern is in for 6% and plus he would get executor fees for handling the money once in the estate. Add that to any money they could “skim” when they “invested” it on Dannielynn’s behalf and the “boys” would make quite a pretty penny. Whenever Dannielynn sneezed they would be charging her for every Kleenex they handed her.

It’s time the 9th [and the Supreme Court which they will undoubtedly appeal to once the 9th sends them on their way] shuts the entire matter down once and for all. This case has gone on much too long, has little to none legal merit and is nothing more than a scam on the J. Marshall Estate and the court system. Too bad “lawyers” and those calling the shots for Dannielynn (Stern and Birkhead) cannot be charged or fined for filing frivolous court actions.

As for Dannielynn, unfortunately she will be always be used as a pawn by Birkhead and Stern. Given their past history of having absolutely no morals; living off another’s fame and fortune and shady backroom deals, if it isn’t the Marshall money they will find other ways to exploit her. Sad to say, they are much worse than the whore Anna ever was. They are the “pimps”. It’s what they do best and their only claim to fame.

  3. Larry Birkhead as a father and guardian of Anna’s sole heir should dismiss the lawsuit against Marshalls and support his own child. He should find a decent job and stop selling pictures of Dannielynn to tabloids.

  4. “If Birkhead and Stern care about Dannielynn’s future, they will drop the case and let her live a normal life. Shouldering her in debt before she even enters kindergarten is greed of the worst kind.”/ Bravo & Amen.

  5. Does Dannielynn know how many weeks of a three year old’s allowance it takes to pay for 15+ frivolous legal manuvers? Poor kid- she better pick up a paperroute as soon as she graduates from her trike to some training wheels!
