Last month I wrote about three defendants, Howard K. Stern, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich and Dr. Sandeep Kapoor who appeared before the Los Angeles Superior Court. They were arraigned on six felony charges including “prescribing, administering, or, dispensing a controlled substance to an addict.” That addict is the late Anna Nicole Smith. They each have pled not guilty to the charges.
Today marked another procedural point in this debacle. A brief proceeding was held in the Superior Court, however, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor showed up late and risked the chance of being arrested. He eventually did show up.
Judge David Wesley has scheduled the preliminary hearing for Wednesday, August 12.
My last post on this case generated several questions and a lot of reader interest so you can be sure that I’ll continue to follow this story.
