ANS’ Harbinger of Death
Shortly after the death of Anna Nicole Smith’s son, her internist planned to prescribe two sedatives, 300 tablets of methadone, an anti-inflammatory drug and four bottles of a strong painkiller. The pharmacist, however, refused to fill these prescriptions because it was felt that “they are going to kill her” and warned the internist that these drugs equate to “pharmaceutical suicide.” Unsealed affidavits procured earlier this week have brought these revelations to light, appending the investigation of psychiatrist Khristine Eroshevich and internist Sandeep Kapoor, and the role they may have played in her overdose death in February 2007. The documents also cite sexual contact between the two physicians and Anna Nicole Smith, although Kapoor’s attorney has stated he is openly gay. A preliminary hearing is set for October 5th for Eroshevich, Kapoor, and Howard K. Stern, with her bodyguard and Dannielynn’s father named as witnesses.
